Seguin Doing Great!

Once a month, the Seguin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosts a "Lunch and Learn" program. The speakers address happenings and plans for the City of Seguin. This event is held in different restaurants in Seguin and yesterday was at All Occasions (a great caterer!). One really does learn as well as enjoying a nice meal. Kudos to the Chamber for offering this to the community.

Mayor Betty Ann Matthies talked about what has been happening in the city, what is planned for Seguin, and what is in progress. She borrowed KWED's slogan that "Everything's Fine in 2009!". Of course, the BIG news is that Caterpillar Corporation will be coming to Seguin. In the very near future, twenty-five families from the corporate office in Illinois will be moving to Seguin. Then, the potential for jobs and service companies and increased business for motels, restaurants, shopping - on and on - is very good!

Indeed, there are some great things happening in our city and it is exciting!

Life is this simple.
We are living in a world that is absolutely transparent

In everything,
In people and in things and in nature and in events.
It becomes very obvious that God is everywhere and
in everything and we cannot be without God.
It is impossible.
The only thing is that we don't see it.
