Buying books - for a good cause

Each year the Seguin Education Foundation collects gently used books for a fundraiser that benefits the Seguin Independent School District. Of course, this sale also benefits Readers! And if one wishes, after reading the books purchased at the Fair, just donate the books the next year for another reader to enjoy. What better way to help the Seguin Education Foundation fulfill a most worthwhile mission??!!
The Seguin Education Foundation is a non-profit educational organization made up of business, community, and education leaders who work toward the mission of generating and distributing resources to enrich teaching, inspire learning, and enhance opportunities for students enrolled in the Seguin Independent School District.

Lot for Sale - Donkey Not Included

This donkey is owned by a fella who lives near us. The lot is in the East Hill Subdivision (next to our Sagewood neighborhood). Such a lovely sight amid suburban life.
Excerpt from G. K. Chesterton's poem The Donkey
...For I also had my hour--
One far fierce hour and sweet:
There was a shout around my head
and palms about my feet.

A GREAT Neighborhood

We have lived in Sagewood for about five years, I guess. It is the BEST neighborhood and we knew so many folks who lived here before we built our house. It is much smaller than our home in Elmwood - and suits us just fine. No big yard to mow! No huge trees to trim! Not as much house to clean! Add those 'pluses' added to the marvelous neighbors we have and we recognize that we are in the very best place we could be at this stage of our lives. God is good! ALL THE TIME.
