Downtown Mural

In May 2008, the Seguin City Council voted to approve the installation of a public historic mural on one wall of my favorite coffee shop, ChiroJava (a combination coffee shop and chiropractor's office).

Seguin Main Street Director Mary Jo Filip said she hopes the $25,000 project helps revitalize the downtown. She also hopes to work with Cuero, Victoria, Gonzales and New Braunfels, which all have historic murals, to develop a mural trail for tourists.

Private donations and some city hotel occupancy tax money funded the Seguin project.

The downtown square is looking so good!
