The price tag for the Justice Center Building in the old Economy Furniture Building is $7.9 million and work has begun. Well, at least the fence has been erected and work will soon commence. Long overdue (in this Seguinite's opinion).
The work should take about 12 months, according to architect Lindsay Thorne of Thorne and Graves Architects.
There will not be an increase in taxes for the citizens of Seguin for this monumental project. Good news in bad economic times.
We have lived in Seguin for almost eleven years and if memory serves (which isn't always the case!), that building has always been empty except for Pickett's Fine Art & Frame Shop. Things are looking up in Seguin!
