Teaser Tuesdays

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
Grab your current read.

Let the book fall open to a random page.

Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book
that you’re getting your “teaser” from …
that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!

Please avoid spoilers!

Two things don't happen very often in Hillston, North Carolina. We don't get much snow and we hardly ever murder one another. Suicide is more our style; we're a polite, college town, and our lives are sheltered by old trees.
Page 47:
Upstairs, just before eleven, Graham and Dickey Pope, dragging two policemen along with them, rammed into the front room like bears after a cub, and yelled at us to give them back Preston. They swore their baby brother had been at home drinking beer and watching the basketball game on television with them every minute the night of the murder.

H-E-B Central Market

Pedaling

Of course, living in Denver, we were familiar with the dozens
(perhaps hundreds) of bicycle paths throughout the Denver area.
Hopefully, one day,
it will be possible for bike paths to be in Seguin.
Planning and $$$ . . .
"A growing number of Americans, mounted on their bicycles like some new kind of urban cowboy, are mixing it up with swift, two-ton motor vehicles as they create a new society on the streets. They're finding physical fitness, low-cost transportation, environmental purity — and, still all too often, Wild West risks of sudden death or injury."

Isaiah 58:8

Lord, look upon Carolyn with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon her, may your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of her body and into the depths of her soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring her to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Amen.
