Moon reluctant to retreat - sunset in its glory
a balloon,
coming out of a keen city
in the sky--filled with pretty people?
(and if you and i should
get into it,
if they
should take me and take you into their balloon, why then
we'd go up higher with all the pretty people
than houses and steeples and clouds:
go sailing
away and away sailing into a keen
city which nobody's ever visited, where
always
it's Spring)
and everyone's
in love and flowers pick themselves

Hillcrest Assembly of God
Last weekend there were hundreds of cars parked in the parking lot and on the side of the road - for their annual Rummage Sale. It is BIG one. In the Autumn before school begins, the church gives away hundreds of student backpacks.
Our Methodist Sharers Sunday School Class had the pleasure of enjoying this church's Music Director's piano playing at our Christmas party.
I'm not certain how many churches are in Seguin, but we have some very active churches who give so much to the community. How fortunate we Seguinites are!

My Talented and Creative Friend
I have a very creative and talented friend (well, one could say that I have several creative and talented friends). This particular friend makes the most beautiful cards! Her handmade cards are so distinctive and lovely and I treasure each one I receive from her.She has a birthday tomorrow (and just seems to get younger and more beautiful each year!)
I won't post the story about her Wednesday night admirer at El Ranchito - but it is a great story entitled "Note on a Napkin from An Admirer."
